About college & courses
Dayanand Ayurvedic College Jalandhar established in 1898 is India’s oldest Ayurvedic College to start institutional teaching of Ayurveda and thus enjoys a heritage status. It runs following courses:

  • (i) B.A.M.S. (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery)
    50 students after 12th standard schooling take admission to 5 years six months B.A.M.S. (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery)
    Course. It is governed by D.A.V. College Managing Committee, New Delhi – India’s largest non government educational society, which has to its credit managing more than 780 educational institutions in India and abroad.
  • (ii) Therapeutic Yoga course
    One year Therapeutic Yoga Course is being run in this college in which students undergo 400 hours study in yoga & introduction to Ayurveda.
  • (iii) Panchkarma Training Course
    Every year in the month of February & September one month’s Panchkarma training programme is provided to Ayurvedic/medical professional.

Working as medical superintendent of Dayanand Ayurvedic College & Hospital Jalandhar which is a teaching hospital to students undergoing B.A.M.S. course and has following Departments:

Dayanand Ayurvedic College & Hospital, Jalandhar has attached to it, D.A.V. Pharmacy, Jalandhar which is one of the oldest Ayurvedic medicine manufacturing and marketing unit and is dealing with full range of classical (shastrokat), Ayurvedic medicines like - Asava, Arishta, Bhasmas, Pishtis, Churanas, Avleha, Pak, Modak, tablets, hand made pills, Rasayana, Extract based capsules, Syrups, Kwath etc. These medicines are not only marketed in India but are exported also.

5. CHIEF EDITOR DAV'S AYURVEDA FOR HOLISTIC HEALTH
Publishing DAV's Ayurveda for Holistic Health- a bimonthly health magazine which includes articles related to Ayurvedic management of various diseases, medical importance of Ayurvedic herbs, kitchen spices, fruits, vegetables, vitamins, minerals, neutraceuticals etc. This magazine has more than 2 millions readership.

6. PROJECT DIRECTOR PANCHKARMA TRAINING PROGRAMME & KSHAR SUTRA

Working as a project director to Panchkarma training programme and institute has till now conducted 18 one month’s Panchkarma course. These courses are run twice in a year in the month of February and September. Around 260 persons have taken training in these courses.
